Uni//White Photoshoot

Because of everything going on I've not had time to try and upload any of my uni work, I just wanted to post these few images finally. We used most of the images in our magazines but I'm so happy with how they came out, they really capture everything I wanted to get. I think they're definitely some of my favourite images I've ever taken and really are of the whole magazine.

Admist all of this blogging about GFW we've finally managed to hand in this terms project which was to create a magazine in teams of six!

I'm totally proud of it though theres so much content in there that we've all worked so hard on, beautiful photoshoots and I think it's come together really nicely as an end of year product. I think everyone on our course has done so well to actually make magazines and it's really taught me a lot about the industry and what I want to do so check it out! 

Print // New Luxury

After this weeks talk with Alexandra Shulman I've been thinking a lot about print, especially because of my uni project to create a magazine and because it's an area i'd like to work in. An issue I keep seeing being brought up is all around print and the internet.

People keep discussing the idea of print being dead because of the internet, news is given out so faster and content shared so easily. Personally I don't want print to die, it's brilliant and I'm constantly hearing print being described as the new luxury, which I love and agree with. 

I love the idea of a magazine becoming a treasure, something to be loved and cherished. Maybe the market may not be as strong as it normally is but also maybe it helps highlight peoples devoted target audiences. People actually don't want magazines to die out and they love print, they want to keep them and adore them. Maybe the market really is oversaturated but ideally does that not meant there is possibly a magazine for everbody?

We talk about diversity, don't magazines and print deliver these best? Peoples different stances and opinions on fashion, their creative ideals and ideas. Their mark and point on fashion, if magazines were to die out then where would this remain? 

TANK//DANSK

So for uni we've been given the task of looking at magazines and producing our own magazine in groups and I wanted to look at some different magazines from my usual i-D and Dazed. I literally had no idea where to start and being the person I am decided to find a magazine I liked based on visuals, I mean c'mon visuals is always the first thing I look at! 

Finally after looking at various magazines like Hunger, Russh and trying not to buy i-D I finally decided to get both TANK and Dansk. Honestly I just picked these cause I felt they stood out the most of all the magazines but I have to say I'm really happy with my decisions. 

//TANK VOLUME 7 ISSUE 7//

I think that TANK is totally going to become a regular in my ever growing magazine, I love it all of it. The content, the paper literally all of it! I even love the size of it but the photography in here is amazing, I generally love anything rich in colour so this is right up my alley. 

//DANSK ISSUE 29//

DANSK again is probably going to come a regular in my collection some of the photography in it is breathtaking, the photographs from the above shoot are amazing. The whole concept of it is just gorgeous and in my opinion hilarious, I just love the idea of her being so glamourous in the office she's in.

With TANK selling for £6 and DANSK for £5 how could I not want both, they're perfect and a much appreciated change from my regular publications.
